In Treviso Christmas begins on Saturday 6th December, with the Christmas Light switching of the majestic tree, in Piazza dei Signori. This is the traditional start of Christmas celebrations in Treviso. And not to forget the traditional hot chocolate to keep you warm and testing the Christmas flavor and celebrations.
On Sunday 7th December 2014, at St. Nicholas, the town dressed in all its beauty for the original Chic Vintage Noel Street market, sparkling jewelry craft, handbags created from recycled materials, puppets show, vintage hairstyles and fun workshops for children. Walking through the market, you can breathe the air of creativity and sharing, the ethos of the market organizers: positive women, and professionals who firmly believed in this project. You will also find a number of stalls with typical regional cuisine which add to the flavor of Christmas in Treviso.
Sunday 7th, 14th and 21st December in Borgo Cavour you will also find the Christmas market: a mix of perfumes, from fir that of mulled wine, sparkles balls and tinkling of bells, you can immerse yourself in the tradition of Christmas.
The Latin corner dresses up too: elegant decorations adorn the shop windows that peek into the square; while in the University area is the Show of Radicchio di Treviso IGP to be the centre piece of attention. Here you can watch fabulous cooking shows and test some cicchetto, brunch, with radicchio, you can also test typical cuisine from the Veneto region.
